Leonard M. Haynie (1893-1973) was born in Manassa, Colorado on May 12, 1893. He served an LDS mission to England from 1911-1913 and afterwards attended Brigham Young Academy for a year-and-a-half. He worked in his father's hardware store. In Oct. 1916 he married Louise Haynie Johnson. In 1919 he began his studies at the Denver School of Law.
